PMS in Pakistan stands for Provincial Management Services. To run government machinery at provincial level, provincial governments in Pakistan recruit bureaucrats through PMS exam.

PMS Exam

PMS exam in Pakistan is conducted by the provincial public service commissions for recruitment to vacant posts in the Provincial Management Services. Unlike CSS exam, which is conducted annually by the federal public service commission (FPSC), PMS exam is held only when posts in the management services are vacant.

PMS Syllabus

PMS Officers come from many streams, i.e. 50% through promotion from amongst Tehsildars, Superintendents, Personal Secretaries, etc and 50% through open merit competitive examination held every year. However, the main chunk of officers is recruited directly into the BPS 17 after qualifying rigorous examinations {C.C.E of 12 papers} and scrutiny {post written tests of 4 stages} of the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC).

PPSC

PPSC stands Punjab Public Service Commission. In Punjab PMS exam is conducted by PPSC.

SPSC

SPSC Stands for Sindh Public Service Commission. PMS exam in Sindh province of Pakistan is held by SPSC.

KPPSC

KPPSC stands for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission. In the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa new recruitments to management services is done by the KPPSC.

BPSC

BPSC stands for Balochistan Public Service Commission. In Balochistan PMS exam is held by the BPSC.

AJKPSC

AJKPSC stands for Azad Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission
